We give clients the option to opt out of receiving SMS reminders by giving them the option to reply STOP.

If they reply STOP, they will be automatically opted out of receiving future reminders. You don't need to action anything - this is done automatically.

Replying STOP does not mean they have cancelled their appointment, however you may wish to to check with them that they haven't misunderstood this as an option to cancel.
