How to add pronouns

Add pronouns to a client's profile so your team can address clients respectfully and consistently.

Pronouns are shown on the client profile overview once they've been added!

1. Open the client's profile.

2. Click 'Manage' and then 'Edit Client'.

3. Find the 'Pronouns' field.

4. Search and select up to 4 pronouns from the list. Just click them again to remove any pronouns.

The list is here -

ae, co, cos, e, eir, em, ey, fae, faer, fey, he, her, hers, hir, his, hu, him,

jee, kit, mer, mers, ne, nee, ner, ners, nir, nirs, peh, per, pers,

se, she, shi, si, sie, them, theirs, they, thon, thons,

ve, ver, ves, vi, vim, vir, vis,

xe, xem, xeir, xey, xie, xyr,

yo, ze, zee, zem, zie, zir, zme

If you spot a pronoun is missing, message our team and we will have that added for you.

5. Save your changes!

The pronouns will now appear on the client's profile overview.

What about clients created through online booking?

If a client created their profile through your online booking page, their pronouns can only be edited by the client themselves through online booking.

This means your salon team won't be able to change pronouns for these clients β€” this is by design, to make sure we're respecting each client's own preferences.
