What does blocking a client do?

Blocking a client prevents them from making bookings through your online booking page. They'll see a generic message about online booking availability β€” they won't know they've been specifically blocked.

This only affects online booking. You can still book appointments for the client manually from the calendar.

Please note - you are only able to block clients that have booked online before. If they have only ever booked in-salon or by phone, they will still be able to create a profile and make an online booking.

Step by step

How to block a client

1. Open the client's profile.

2. Click 'Manage' at the top.

3. Select 'Block client'. If you don't see this option, it will be because the client has never booked online before.

4. Confirm the action.

The client's profile will now show that they are blocked.

How to unblock a client

1. Open the client's profile.

2. Click 'Manage' at the top.

3. Select 'Unblock client'.

4. Confirm the action.

The client will be able to book online again straight away.

FAQ answers!

  • Blocking applies per salon β€” if you have multiple locations, you'll need to block the client at each one separately.

  • The client receives a generic message, so it's handled discreetly.

  • You can still create manual bookings for blocked clients from the calendar.
