What is SMS Auto Top-Up?

The SMS auto top-up feature automatically adds SMS credits to your account in bundles of 100 or 500 texts when you run out of text credits. This ensures that your automated SMS services, such as text reminders, are not interrupted.

Auto client connect - 100 sms bundles.

Bolt on SMS reminder - 500 sms bundles.

When is SMS Auto Top-Up Triggered?

Auto top-up is triggered when you have one of these automated texts enabled and your SMS balance reaches zero.

SMS appointment reminders are included in your plan, and sending these reminders will not trigger an auto top-up or incur additional charges.

How to Reduce SMS Auto Top-Up

The auto top-up feature cannot be disabled while automated messages are enabled. However, you can set a spending limit to have more control over your SMS expenses. Just ask the team to reduce your SMS auto limit to £21 per month. This is 3 bundles of 100 charged at £7 each plus VAT.

Key Tips for Managing SMS Costs:

  • Set a Spending Limit: Consider setting the spending limit to regulate how much is spent on SMS each month.

  • Review Usage Regularly: Keep an eye on your text credit balance in the calendar to avoid unexpected top-ups.

  • Understand What’s Included: Take advantage of features like SMS appointment reminders, which are part of your plan and do not affect your SMS balance.

By understanding the conditions for SMS top-up and taking control of your auto top-up settings, you can effectively manage SMS usage and costs while ensuring consistent client communication!
