How to setup SlickPay tipping accounts for staff

Set up Stripe accounts for your team to receive SlickPay tips straight into their bank account

SlickPay allows you to take a tip on card in an easy, compliant manner

  • Tips sent direct to staff bank account for Employed and/or Self Employed staff

  • No National Insurance.

  • Fully compliant with new Tipping Law

  • This is a free feature. No fees on tipping

How to set up?

Provided you have the information handy, setup takes less than 5 minutes! πŸš€

1. Ensure you have the following information for the staff member whose account you want to set up (ideally they should be with you):

a. Their mobile number -> Stripe will send a verification code to their mobile number so make sure they have their phone handy!

b. Their email address

c. Their date of birth and home address

d. Their bank account details (sort code and account number) where they would like to receive their tips

2. Head to MENU -> Online Booking & Payments -> General Settings

3. Click on Staff: Online Services, Stripe Accounts & Tipping:

3. Click the "SETUP STRIPE" button for the first staff member you are setting up

You will then see a modal asking you to choose an account type - select the 3rd option as shown in the image below and then "Continue to setup"

If you see this pop-up from Chrome, it is fine to click "Leave" as you are being taken to Stripe:

4. Complete the Stripe account setup

5. Once you have completed the Stripe setup, you will be returned to Slick. Click "General Settings" and go back to the Staff section:

You will now see that this staff member has been setup to receive "No takings, only Tips" into their bank account:

6. Enable the tip prompt on your SlickPay card machine πŸŽ‰

Now that all your staff have their Stripe tipping accounts setup, head to the main menu item "SlickPay Card Reader" where you will see your current tip prompt status:

Simply click the toggle to enable Tip Prompt on your card machine!
