Getting ready for year-end is much easier when your salon data is already organised. While your accountant can handle tax and compliance, having accurate reports and stock records to give them helps everything run smoothly.
Watch the video below to see what you need to export from Slick.
💡If you cannot load the time frame you are trying to download, please try smaller time frames and merge these in Excel.
Important - Please do always make sure to work alongside a chartered accountant when handling your finances. Our team can advise and point you in the right direction - but like you, we are not chartered accountants so always go by an accountants final recommendation!
What to check in Slick
Review and save your Cash up and Revenue reports
Make sure all services, retail sales, gift cards, and tips are correctly recorded by always processing them through the Slick check out accurately.
Download your year-end revenue report to share with your accountant directly from Menu - Business reports - Revenue.
We advise downloading segments in 3 or 6 month timeframes to save time waiting for the server to load the information.

Finalise your stock levels
If you sell retail, this is a good time to run a stock take and ensure your stock levels are correct.
Do a physical stock count close to year-end. Find out how here.
Make sure your in-store quantities match your system from Menu - Stock management.
Export your stock values by selecting the download button here on the far right.
Other items to prepare (outside of Slick!)
You may also need to review:
Payroll for any staff
Contractor payments
Business expenses and receipts
Equipment or furniture purchases
Your accountant or bookkeeper can help with these, using your salon reports as a starting point.
Tip for an easier year-end
✨ Feel free to add a FREE login for your accountant to give them access to any reports they need.
Just go to Staff and business settings and select 'Add new user' and 'No, this user requires access only'.

✨Save all exported reports in one “Year-End” folder on your desktop computer so they’re ready to share when needed.
