💌 Email Marketing: How to Guide

Slick Email lets you create and send beautiful, branded email blast campaigns

📍 Where to Find Slick Email

  1. Go to Clients, Notifications & Marketing

  2. Click Email Blast

  3. Filter your clients by Staff Member they've seen, Service Type and Next Visit

  4. Hit Create Email Blast

✨ Available on Advanced and Supercharged plans

✨ Only Managers can send campaigns


🚀 How Sending an Email Works

First-Time Setup

The first time you click Create Email Blast, we’ll:

  • ⚙️ Automatically create your Slick Email account

  • 📩 Send you an invite to verify your account and create a password


Confirmation Pop Up

Once you've verified your Slick Email account you can return to:

Slick → Client Notifications & Marketing → Email Blast

Refresh the page, then use the filters to select your audience.

(Please note: it might take some a couple of minutes for your account to be verified)

Click on→ Create Email Blast
You’ll see a quick pop-up showing:

  • 👥 How many clients you’re about to email

  • 🔐 The cost of the Blast campaign - your first Blast is free!

Tap Design My Email to continue. Please note: if your list is large, it may take a minute for your contacts to upload to Slick Email. This is expected - just don't close the menu until you get a confirmation that your contacts have been uploaded to Slick Email.


Click “Design My Email”

This creates a draft in Slick Email’s Editor, and your selected clients will be automatically uploaded to this draft. Here, you can create a beautiful email using:

  • Promo

  • Newsletter

  • New Staff

  • New Services / Products

  • Season’s Greetings

🧱 Drag & Drop tools

  • Text blocks

  • Images

  • Buttons

  • Dividers

  • Layouts

🔖 Merge tags

We will automatically import these into your saved templates

  • Your customer’s First and Last Name

  • Your Logo (if you’ve added it to your branding settings on Slick)

  • Your Unique Online booking link (if you have Online Booking enabled)

  • Address & phone number.

When you’re happy, you can save your template and continue to send.


Sending Your Email

Before sending your email from Slick Email, don’t forget to add an email subject.

You can also customise:

Your From Name

Reply-to address so that any response to the campaign lands directly into your inbox

Please note: your email will send from:

📨 [YourSalonName]@slicksalon.com

You cannot send from your personal or salon email domain. This is due to new rules introduced by Google, Yahoo, and major email providers in 2024. To make sure your emails actually reach your clients’ inboxes - and don’t get blocked or land in spam - Slick sends all campaigns from our verified domain: @slicksalon.com

Slick would have automatically uploaded your selected clients on Slick Email and attached them to this draft. So once you’re done designing and click “I am ready to Schedule this Email for Sending”, the email will be sent to the customers you have selected.


See Your Results in Slick

After sending, go to:

👉 Slick → Sent Emails

There, you’ll find:

  • 📬 Sent Emails

  • 📦 Delivered

  • 👀 Opens

  • 👉 Clicks

  • 💇‍♀️ Bookings

  • 💸 Revenue Generated

  • 💷 Campaign Cost

It may take up to 10 minutes for results to appear.


💡 Important: Always Start From Slick (Not Slick Email)

To ensure your email goes to the correct and up-to-date client list, always start your campaign from:

Slick → Clients, Notifications & Marketing → Email Blast


Do not create new campaigns directly inside the Slick Email dashboard.

Starting from Slick ensures:

  • 🔄 Your client list is refreshed every time

  • 🎯 Only the clients you selected will receive the email

  • 🛡️ You avoid confusion inside the more complex Slick Email UI

This keeps everything accurate, simple and reliable and ensures your customers always receive the right email at the right time.

No - due to new email authentication rules.

All emails send from @slicksalon.com, but you can customise:

✔ Your From Name

✔ Your Reply-to email


📊 Where do I see campaign results?

In Slick → Sent Emails

(May take up to 10 minutes to update.)
