Selling a voucher

If you sell a voucher via the online link - the money for this will go directly TO THE SALON as per the schedule here.

Therefore, the salon owner will have to transfer the cost of the voucher directly to you, the self employed staff member.

If the voucher redeemed had not been assigned to a stylist at the point of sale, follow these steps:

  1. Identify the total voucher value redeemed by the stylist from their cash up.

  2. Calculate the appropriate allocation for the self-employed stylist based on your salon's policies.

  3. Transfer the calculated amount manually from the salon's account to the stylist's account, and keep a clear record of the transaction for future reference.

You will receive a notification on the notification tab as you see here when a voucher is sold online!

This will show on menu - daily cash up. PLEASE NOTE - this voucher fee will only contribute to the revenue reports when claimed against a service.

Using a voucher

When the lucky client arrives to the salon, the voucher should be used at the check out.

To use it, simply search for the voucher code in this box which can be found on the left hand side of the check out page.

Organise your payments in salon for this voucher!

Additionally, if a voucher is redeemed and paid into the salon's main account but used by a self-employed stylist, follow these steps:

  1. Remove any commission or processing fees.

  2. Transfer the amount to the stylist manually from the salon's account.

  3. Keep transaction records updated for transparency.

You can determine how much is owed to the salon by taking a look at the daily cash up for the day on which the voucher was used.

For example, here the payment of £20 was taken using 50/50 voucher and cash. In this case, the salon owes the stylist £10 for the 'voucher redeemed' section.

For example, if the commission fee for processing the voucher was 5%, a voucher worth £20 would have £1 deducted. The stylist would then be paid £9 for the redeemed portion of the voucher.

To check the amount that was transferred minus fees please check from 'SlickPay via Stripe' section.
