Stripe verification process

How to verify your account if it is temporarily suspended by Stripe and needs re-verification

Written by Phoebe Davis

If you've recently changed your bank account details or updated certain personal information linked to your Stripe account, Stripe may require you to complete a quick re-verification process.

Why Is This Required?

This is a standard security measure carried out by Stripe to help protect your account, your payouts, and your business from unauthorised changes or fraudulent activity.

These checks are managed entirely by Stripe and are not controlled by Slick.

What Do I Need To Do?

  1. Open the verification link provided in email from Slick.

  2. Follow the steps requested by Stripe. (More detail below!)

  3. Submit any information or documentation Stripe asks for - this will include your selfie and a Government issued ID.

  4. Wait for Stripe to complete its review.

  5. Your payouts will be re-enabled and Slick will let you know!

The process usually only takes a few minutes to complete, although review times can vary.

How to complete the ID verification

This is the start page for verification.

Enter your email address - Scan your Government ID - Complete the FRONT CAMERA selfie review in good lighting.

Once you have completed these steps you'll be asked to wait while the review is completed. Thank you for submitting!

What Happens Next?

Once Stripe confirms that your account has been successfully verified, we'll check that the verification has been completed and re-enable your payouts.

Your payouts will then resume on their normal schedule.

No further action is required from you unless Stripe contacts you for additional information.
