How to open up days in your diary as a one off.

Change days you are usually closed to take bookings, eg for Christmas!

Looking to open up on certain days to take more appointments and make more money?

Do certain staff work different hours to your set opening hours?

Your set 'opening hours' on Slick will reflect the opening hours for the entire salon. This means that your Online Booking can only display appointment slots for your chosen salon opening hours. To make these more flexible for certain staff members or to have the option to work late/open early, please follow the steps below!!


  • Check your salon opening hours under Menu > Staff & Business Settings > Business Information and Hours.

  • Add in the hours for the day you would like to open.

It would look like this when the day is closed! ↓

Open it up by adding the hours you want to work!

For example - We want to open the Sunday before Christmas for our clients!!

Once this is done, ALL Sundays will be available to book online if you have your Online booking set up!
Always make sure you press "Save" after making these changes!!

  • To only allow for the specific day to be available, you need to go back to the calendar and, in this case, go to a Sunday! (Or whichever day you have opened up).

    Then click on the time on the calendar that you want the time off to begin. You will then have the option to "book time -off" or to book an appointment.

  • Select the time off category

Then fill in the details of the time off using the window seen below. Repeat this for all staff that will not be working. Do not add time off for staff that will be working - this will allow the slots to be bookable online for them.

As you can see the drop down below states "Weekly" meaning this will be repeated every single week at the same time for the selected staff member.

  • If you want to remove one day when you'd like to open, eg before Christmas (to get more bookings!!!) just click on the "time off" on the calendar.

  • Then press "delete"

  • Then you will see this window where you can decide to delete time off for a single day or if you want to delete the time off for every single day. Choose "Delete today" and now the staff member will be available Online and in the Calendar!!
