Year Built: Displayed as “MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020)” in “About This Mac”.
Dell (XPS, Inspiron, etc.)
Processor & RAM:
Windows: Right-click Start → System or go to Settings → System → About.
Year Built:
Visit Dell's Support page and enter your Service Tag (found on a sticker or in BIOS).
HP (Pavilion, Spectre, Envy)
Processor & RAM:
Use Settings → System → About, or HP Support Assistant.
Year Built: Enter serial number into HP Support to see launch date.
Lenovo (ThinkPad, Yoga, IdeaPad)
Processor & RAM:
Settings → System → About, or Lenovo Vantage app.
Year Built: Use the serial number on Lenovo Warranty Lookup.
ASUS, Acer, MSI
Processor & RAM:
Windows → System Information or About under Settings.
Year Built:
Use the serial number on brand-specific support pages.
Mobiles:
Apple (iPhone)
Processor & RAM:
Check your model number (Settings → General → About → Model Number), then look it up on Apple’s iPhone identification page.
Year Built:

Not available in settings, instead check that you have a recent model by going to Settings → About Phone → Model & Hardware
Year Built: Check Settings → About Phone → Model & Hardware
OnePlus
Processor & RAM:
Go to Settings → About Phone; most models display the chipset and RAM there.
Year Built: Use the model number to check the official release date on the OnePlus website.
Tablets:
Apple (iPad)
Processor & RAM:
Not directly visible from settings. Instead, go to Settings → General → About, get the model number and visit Apple’s iPad identification page for the processor & RAM details.
Year Built:
Cross-reference model number with Apple’s iPad identification page.
Samsung (Galaxy Tab)

Go to Settings → About Tablet → Hardware Information.
Year Built:
Use model number (in Settings) and google search the year built.
Microsoft (Surface Tablets)

Windows Settings → System → About or System Information tool.
Year Built:
Use serial number in Microsoft’s Surface Warranty Checker to get manufacturing details.
Amazon (Fire Tablets)

Search model name (steps below) online.
Year Built:
Go to Settings → Device Options → About Fire Tablet and google search year of the model.

Typically found in Settings → About Tablet
Year Built:
Check model number in settings and google search year of that modal.
