How to process a standalone retail sale with no appointment, or add a retail product to a client’s bill at checkout — on desktop and in the app.
Two ways to sell retail
You can sell a retail product in two ways:
During checkout — add a product to a client’s appointment bill before taking payment.
As a standalone retail sale — sell a product to someone with no appointment in the diary.
Access on Desktop
Standalone retail sale (no appointment):
Click New in the top of the calendar.
Select Retail sale.
Search for the product and select it.
Choose the client (or process as a walk-in if no client profile is needed).
Proceed through payment as normal.
Adding a retail product to a checkout bill:
Open the client’s appointment and select Checkout & Rebook.
On the Checkout screen, click Add retail item.
Search for the product by name and select it.
The product is added to the Checkout and the total updates.
Continue through Deposits & Vouchers and Payment as normal.
Access in App
Standalone retail sale (no appointment):
Open the Slick app on your phone or tablet.
Tap the New tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Select Retail sale from the sheet that appears.
Search for the product and select it.
Choose the client or proceed as a walk-in.
Complete payment.
Adding a retail product to a checkout bill:
Open the booking in the Diary and tap Checkout.
On the Checkout screen, tap Add retail item.
Search for the product and tap to select it.
The product is added to the Checkout. Tap Continue to proceed to payment.
💡 Tip: Retail sales are tracked in client profiles under Retail → so you can see everything a client has purchased from you over time.
