Worried about moving your client information to Slick? Don't be.
Where is your data stored?
Your data is stored on a cloud based system. Slick uses Amazon web servers to store this for you, which are one of the most secure in the world.
How often is it backed up?
Slick automatically backs up all data and a hard back up is performed each morning at 2am as a fail-safe.
How is my data protected?
Your Slick data is only accessible via your unique email address and password combination. We are unable to provide your data to anyone else without explicit, written permission.
How do I download my data?
You will be asked a series of security questions to gain access to your secure client list as a CSV and this can and will never be given to anyone other than the account owner.
What if I want to transfer my data to another salon owner?
In this case, the account holder is the data controller. You can give permission to the new owner to access this data but under GDPR it is the data controllers responsibility to ensure they have the requisite opt ins and permissions from the consumer.
Please note - We can only accept the below written authorisation emailed to onboarding@getslick.com from the registered account owner on the account:
"I [name] hereby give Slick support team permission to transfer the client data from [salon name] to [new salon name] and understand that Slick will export and import the entire client list with no exceptions."
We aren't able to accept texts/any other form or any altered wording.
We can't accept a yes back to a pre-populated email with their salon names.
What about my clients payment data?
Stripe process and store your clients payment data securely. Stripe are PCI DDS compliant as they are one of the biggest 3rd party payment processors worldwide, which is why we have chosen them as your payments provider.
These guidelines are essential to protect against data breaches and credit card fraud and Stripe are fully compliant to keep you and your client safe when paying online.
