What it does
The Social Post Generator turns your salon's basic details into a ready-to-use month of social media content. In under a couple of minutes, it produces a full content calendar with captions, hashtags, branded post images, and SMS text blasts for each post - no design or copywriting experience needed.
Opening the generator
Go to Menu > Clients, Notifications & Marketing > Content Planner and click Open the Post Generator at the top of the page. It opens in a new browser tab and is free to use.
Step 1: Enter your salon details
Fill in the Salon Details section at the top of the form. Required fields are: Business name, business type, city or area, month, posts per week, number of weeks, and booking URL are required.
Choose to add your instagram handle, website URL or current promotions to further customise the content to your brand
Posts per week can range from 1–7, and the plan can span 1–8 weeks. You can also click + Add another promotion if you want to feature more than one offer.
Step 2: Add your branding
In the Branding section, set your primary, secondary, and optional accent colours. These colours are applied automatically to the backgrounds of your generated post images, so the plan matches your salon's look.
Use the colour picker to get the exact colours used in your branding/logo!
Step 3: Select your services
Tick the services your salon offers (haircuts, colour, barbering, nails, facials, and so on). This helps the generator tailor captions and topics to what you actually provide.
Step 4: Add salon photos (optional)
You can drag and drop or browse to upload up to 20 of your own photos (JPG, PNG, or WebP). These are used as backgrounds in your post images instead of the plain colour graphics, giving the plan a more personal feel.
Step 5: Generate the plan
Click Generate Social Media Plan. The generator builds your full calendar in seconds, organised week by week, with a mix of post types such as seasonal moments, service promotions, booking reminders, engagement posts, and brand/introduction posts.
Understanding each post card
Every post in the plan includes a branded image with a Download button so you can save it and upload it directly to social media. The planner generates the photo, the caption and tags and even provides you with an SMS blast to send alongside the content. Each one can be downloaded separately so you can pick and choose.
Some captions include placeholders like "[Client name]" or "[service]" — remember to swap these out with real details before posting.
Your Content Plan Document
Click on 'Download as Google Doc' to download your entire social media content plan for the next few weeks.
This document will contain the entire social media plan that's been generated, covering the posts, when they should be posted, content, captions and more.
Schedule posts in advance or go on holiday for a few weeks and have your staff know exactly what to post and when!
Remember, you can use the content planner however you like and what it creates isn't set in stone! Have lots of great ideas but find yourself getting stuck? Use the planner as a starting point for inspiration and then make your own tweakments from there.
Editing and regenerating
If you want to adjust anything, click ← Edit Details at the top of the results page. This takes you back to the form with everything you entered still filled in, so you can tweak a field (like posts per week or services) and generate a new plan without starting over.
